V-belts ensure the transmission of driving forces and are thus a necessary part of all gears and drives. In our offer you will find both cut and wrapped belts, as well as both classic and narrow belts for torque transmission between shafts.

Belts

A V-belt is a type of belt that is usually wedge-shaped and is used to transmit driving forces. It is manufactured with different cross-sections, e.g. classic, narrow, variator, multi-roller or for multi-roller sets. Rubber and polymers are the primary materials used for the belts.

The belts are not uniform, but contain a supporting core, often made of Kevlar cords, the filling may be technical rubber or a polymer, they also have an outer wrapper, which has the task of protecting the belt from external forces.

The belts can be divided into coated and cut categories. Different V-belt angles of 60 °, 40 °, 36 ° are used for V-belts. The V-belt transmits torque from the driving roller to the driven one. When the belts inner diameter makes contact with the roller, the transmitted torque is lost and the roller begins to slip, this heats the transmission components and leads to their degradation. The torque transmission is realized via friction of the inclined surfaces of the belt against the roller.

PJ belts

PJ series ribbed belts are the most common type of POLY-V micro V-belts. They are used in various industrial applications, specifically in the engineering, food and construction industries.
